The new Tennis Australia Tournament calendar has been released. There seems to be big changes with tournaments now determined by levels.
The levels are Platinum (Nationals), Gold, Silver, Bronze and white series. Currently we do not know the points allocated to these levels as this information won’t be known until the end of 2009. As soon as it becomes available, I will update this site with that information.
The Spring Nationals have been changed and are now have been relocated to Ipswich, Queensland. The Mildura Grass court Nationals have been moved to February. A lot of tournaments that were once higher grades seem to have been degraded. I sincerely hope that the changes made to the tournament system definitely help our juniors because currently the system is a joke with a lot of the juniors paying there way up the ranking ladder. This needs to be stopped!
