Akira Santillan & Naiktha Bains have successfully captured the Under 12′s Clay-court Nationals on Sunday the 11th April taking out the Number 2 and 1 players respectively in the Nation. Naiktha has been in peak form not dropping a set the whole tournament to destroy her final opponent in the final set 6-0. In the other final Akira found himself 3-0 down in the first set to fight his way back to 6-4 win in the first set. Again Akira found himself 4-0 behind to fight his way 4-4 but Jake was too determined to make this a match. The 3rd and final set was neck and neck with both boys fighting hard. Then Akira put the pressure on Jake in the tie break by hitting bigger and harder. Taking out the tie break 7-3. Both boys deserved to win in a match just short of 3 hours. Well done to Naiktha, Lizette, Jake and Akira.
